charles28 Posted May 24, 2006 Share Posted May 24, 2006 I guess what im trying to ask is if i wire these 2 dual voice coil subs together for a 2 ohm load how would they hook to the amp. Heres the specs for the amp. 1,200 WATT 2 channel car amp 1200 watt x 1 Max Power @ 4 Ohm 600 watt x 2 RMS @ 4 Ohm 900 watt x 2 RMS @ 2 Ohm MOSFET Power supply Class A/B Circuitry Power + Protection LED Low + High Level Inputs Line Level Outputs Chrome Plated Screw Terminals Thermal / Short / Overload Protection Circuitry Variable High and Low Pass Crossovers Adjustable Input Sensitivity 2 Ohm Stable Tri-Mode Capable Frequency Response 20 - 20KHz S/N Ratio > 90 dB Dimensions: 10"W x 2-1/2"H x 12"D 2 x 25A Fuses Can i hhok to both channels of the amp at 2 ohms.Or would i wire the spekers into 2 ohm then split the wire before i get to the amp.Im confused Please help! Kastigir Posted June 10, 2006 Share Posted June 10, 2006 To wire for 2 ohm you'll have to connect them in parallel. If the subs are both DVC, then you connect both coils of one sub to the right outputs. The other two coils the the left outputs. Set your low pass crossover frequency, I recommend no higher than 100 Hz, and you should be good to go. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
