OK I have 87 Accord

The clutch is stiff and feels good to about an inch away from the floor going down when it gets to a spot it falls to the floor it gets easy...then letting it out ... on the way back up the same amount is really soft like theres nothing there then u get past it. it feels like a kick and the pedal comes up quick

Is this normal for a cable clutch r whats wrong

your clutch should have 3/4 of an inch of freeplay in the cable. in other words no tension on the clutch cable when clutch is disengaged as it doesnt fully release and wears it out. too much freeplay and the clutch doesnt disengage fully when pedal is depressed. usually your pedal should start to grab about halfway out from the floor. like i said make sure theres 3/4 of an inch freeplay.
