Trihonda
I just got a new Accord EX Sedan in Silver. I usually like spoilers, but can't decide what to do this time around. Help and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks
TLontheDL
I don't know the diff btw a rear wing spoiler and a rear deck lid spoiler.
RODNEYCHAN
If you would add the front under spoiler on as well, I think the lid spoiler looks good, other wise reg. spoiler is better..
Trihonda
Thanks Rodney. I tend to agree. I have seen the lids on a few Civics and they look SHARP! However, the Accord is a different animal and has different lines. I don't plan to add a front underbody (since it's not readily availible). A rear spoiler is all that we'll do. So maybe I'll stick to the wing. I do like the look of the lid spoilers on a car with ground effects. Sharp!
TS John
Accords look tacky with spoilers. In my humble opinion.

That Guy
at the most i would go with a deck lid. im guessing thats one of those tiny spoilers similar to what usually comes as a stock option on most cars. otherwise keep it bare. big ugly spoilers seem ricey to me but thats just my opinion. shishpanik
I actually have to disagree, I think they look better with the wing spoilers, especially the coupes. I think it balances the fat asses that the accords (and civics for that matter) have.
Trihonda
I don't think the factory spoilers look ricey. I hate ricey. The only Honda OEM spolier I've ever disliked was the Civic SI Coupe from the '00 era. It was like 10 inches tall, lol. I appreciate the advice, keep it coming. Oh, and the deck lid spoilers look so sharp on the new Civics I've seen. Makes me want a Civic instead. Anyone have pics of the Accord with a deck lid spoiler? Thanks. thsocom41
accords look goofy without the spoiler.. they dont look sporty at all .. but i do not like aftermarket spoilers on accords though, the stock spoiler looks better.
EH6TunerDaniel
Accords arent supposed to look sporty.

CleanGSR
Me too. Even the newer 4 doors are pretty sporty. THe new Camry with the full OEM optional lip kit looks really aggressive though.
TLontheDL
wrd those new camrys look good done up. I can provide pics of modified jdm camrys if you want. I like the new avalons too but this isn't about toyota.
airjordan223
the coups are sweet. theres one around here in the dark grey, with gunmetal rims, and a mild kit. it looks REALLY good. even the people here who hate kits would like it. forget what year it is, has the tail lights that kinda look like mercedes
VR17
accords are family cars.. economical, wouldnt really make a difference in performance.. but in style with no effect, i guess if you want to be cool
Velocifero
Maybe a Mugen spoiler is what you might want. i have it on mine. alot of other accord owners i know say nothing looks better. heres some pics. if i had to choose another, i'd go with the 96-97 spoiler. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c400/Mechtroop/black.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c400/Mechtroop/spo.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c400/Mechtroop/spo1.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c400/Mechtroop/spo2.jpg
92GTZ
I think if the spoiler/wing isnt too overboard (meaning too tall), then i'd say go for it. As long as your not putting a giant silver aluminum wing on it.

Velocifero
a coupe is not a family car. if people cant really fit in the back seat.. not a family car the term "family car" has nothing to do with how many doors it has. rather, the size of the car aka midsize. and if im not mistaken, the accord coupe (at least in the 5th gens) has the same interior space as the sedan. the wheelbase is the same to prove this. With all due respect... If you had a family, then you'd understand why a coupe isn't a family car, NO MATTER how much room the back seats have. I'm not saying you can't own a coupe and have a family, but the two aren't very accomodating of each other. Try getting a struggling 20lb kid into a carseat while having to crawl into the back seat from the side door of a coupe. ...Not conducive to keeping your sanity. I'd have to agree that a family car is more defined on who the target market is (and features offered), rather than how much space is inside or doors present. I've seen sedans that are very sporty, and coupes that are not... However, I've rarely seen a family friendly coupe?

That is one sweet spoiler. I would love it if Honda made one like that. I don't know how well it would fit for the 06-07 Accord, since the truck has the integrated taillight assembly. Monty
I have kinda mixed emotions about accord spoilers/lips. My car has a stock spoiler and I think it makes my car look slightly more aggresive, but not making it look goofy. But then again I've seen some accords with no lips/spoilers and they look awesome. It's more personal preference than anything, you're the one who has to drive it. What's done to the rest of the car can also impact how a spoiler/lip would look. (and my 4door accord is a family car, my insurance company tells me so, and it costs less, don't disagree with them )
