DailyGrind
Vehicle: 1997 Honda Accord V6 Check Engine Light came on, found out the OBD II code P0725. Which is "a malfunction in the electrical circuit for the engine speed input." Does anybody know how I can go about fixing this?
James Matteu
You’re smarter than your car, pull the appropriate fuse and try to duplicate the error. Follow it up with the appropriate diagnostic procedures. Don't believe everything your car tells you, computers are only: as intelligent as their programmers, as perceptive as their sensors, you get the idea. Something could be fooling the computer, don’t let the computer fool you. For example: My ABS light stays on because the computer doesn’t get any readings from the driver side sensor. There is nothing wrong with the sensor. In fact, the problem is with the CV Axle. The CV Axle is physically damaged and cannot work with the sensor. The problem does not prevent the CV Axle from spinning, nor does the sensor problem prevent my stopping. So I ignore the light.
