wvriverguide
As stated I am having fuel issues and don't know where to start. I have a 1989 2dr accord SEi fuel injected, the thing just won't start. I can't hear the fuel pump kick on when I turn on the ignition, where should I start? Is this a common problem, any easy fixes? Low budget hoping to learn from someone with honda experience. Thanks.

Kastigir
Main Fuel Relay. You would think with that component non-functional, that the fuel pump wouldn't run, but it does. Part costs about 60 bucks from the dealer, and isn't too terribly difficult to replace.

bradypunch
I am new at the Honda thing, but I would check the fuel filter. That has happened to me a couple of times on other cars.

cranny
yeah if you cant hear the car prime itself it may be a fuel relay.
wvriverguide
Alright, you check your *other* source, but when I'm right I want you back here stating such. Yes I found out the main relay is the most likely cause. I stand corrected, but this time it was actually the fuel pump, she is now running. Thanks.
