Don Pisto Posted November 5, 2007 Share Posted November 5, 2007 im personally a fan of kicker subs and amps also alpine and sony.. everyone talks down about sony but my 10's hold their own up against alpine type R's and they are alot better on the price IMO. but its hard to say between the 3 subs you listed because JL is an aswome sub also ( shrug) but i do like the kicker cvx124's if they are the ones im thinking of they sound great in a ported box and will turn heads when you pass people. No way Sony's hold up against type r's. If you're not feeding those R's 1,000w rms each and if its not in a ported enclosure tuned properly and the proper size, you aren't seeing the full potential of the type r.
