Ben.
Only bad thing about my job is the heat doing the residential side of this crap. I'd much rather be working on chillers or in coolers fixing busted ass refrigeration units in or outside.

blackdelsol
Nice thing about construction is you generally have to do something really stupid to get fired.
Ben.
Yes but when you do that stupid thing EVERYONE laughs at you and it's generally hard to get another job doing the same thing.;

compuvision02
Thanks Jaime, I'll check it out. I don't know if I really want to be in detail anymore though, such a bitch job, especially having 40 year old toothless pussies as your boss. We are still trying to get back into Mercedes, but atleast get answers, we are talking to Carlos again tomorrow, him and Steve were supposed to find out information for us, I admit, they are approachable people for being the ower and right hand man. 90IntegraC1
I don't want to leave Mercedes because I've met so many people there and established good friendships with all of them, including a few techs like Jaime (lowcivex), Chad, and Jim....I dunno, I'm gonna miss that place if I don't get a second chance at this....kind of depressing sitting at home all day. I put in an application at Pep Boys down the street as an "Installer." I would be diagnosing and installing "general automotive parts." I can do that stuff....just not like replacing piston rings or somthing pretty technical, in which they'd give to the master technician.

LOL hay! low blow. lol Nancy-->how's the pay? you don't have to be specific, but better than $12 an hour maybe? Chester is about 45 minutes away with traffic, and I hate driving my POS car, so in order to work there it'd have to be worth it lol...
compuvision02
Hey Dan, I think that's were that Asian dude works now. I forget his name, drove the Maxima and was tight with Ed. Was in charge of the lot guys. I remember he said he was going to work at a casino... Nancy, what sort of stuff could a 21 year old do with no experience? 90IntegraC1
oh Steve? gotcha, that would be sweet, but i'm only 19....don't think i could even work there.
Xeryon
there is everything possible that you can think of at a casino, especially if they have a hotel. So you can't work the tables, in ohio you can serve alcohol at 19 - you just can't make the drinks (as in bartending,. but you can wait tables and stuff), you could do housekeeping, maintenance, groundskeeping, valet, security...... lceah
Dan and I worked our asses off for that company and obviously it wasn't good enough. They replaced us with two people who aren't very "secure" in a job; Bullcrap. It really gets to you when your best isn't good enough. Atleast when I worked at ACME and was the bottom of the barrel, they still treated us with a lot of respect if we tried. Rob, and Dan, it's not that your best wasn't good enough! It's corporate bs that caused this...damn politics of it all...who knows, maybe they didn't want to keep you two there because you guys have worked there for long and they don't want to have to maybe give you a raise... I hope talking to them works, but, even though I want to be optimistic, I don't think they will do anything! sorry this all happened to you... Screw them though! don't let it get to you two! do as you are doing now...go apply to jobs everywhere nearby...you two are very smart people and have skills...you will find many jobs suitable! Search online too for jobs! Is there a circuit city around? or an In n Out? those pay over minimum wage! Walk into places and big companies and ask if they are hiring...big companies are usually the ones that pay better with better work environments usually... let me know if there is anything I can do (from all the way here ya, but anything at all)
EH6TunerDaniel
I think In-N-Out is pretty much west coast, but I could be wrong. Besides, didnt compusvision say he didnt want to work in retail or fast food?
compuvision02
Nah, we did something wrong, and it pisses me off. If we were just laid off, I would have been semi-okay with it, but we got replaced with guys getting the same pay as us.
Xeryon
sounds like it will turn out to be a personal issue. someone there just didn't like you and either the people higher up liked them more (or just didn't know you guys to like you - resulting is a situation where he is a friend and you guys are unknown), or there were things said about you (you were racist, sexist, harassing, whatever) to degrade you and they let you go without talking to you. 90IntegraC1
So I got a haircut and got all fresh for this meeting today.... Rob and I walk in there at 1:40 (same time as yesterday) which was the scheduled meeting time for this, and we ask Rochelle (secretary) if Carlos or Steve were available because we had an appointment with them. Carlos went on vacation and Steve is 45 minutes away at another dealership. I left my name and number and told them to call me asap. This is ridiculous. lceah
aha...food industries...bleh... I worked at Circuit City once...it pays more than minimum... I've had many different jobs...now I'm looking for a second job... I'm not giving you guys any ideas, but if it had been me, I would have so messed with the computers they use at your work... jk
