LTS
Hi, My driver seat won't go down anymore. My fiancee and I share the car, so when she drives it, she raised the seat. When I drive it, I lower the seat. But now it is stuck all the way up. I checked all the fuses and all seem to be fine. All wires seem to be connected. What can it be? I would assume its the seat motor, but I am hoping that there is a way to manually lower the seat until I get it fixed. Any ideas? TIA
James Matteu
Any ideas? Switch the passenger side seat with the driver side seat.
Turtlehead
I would disconect the motor connector located under the drivers seat. I think for that car it should be a gray 2-pin connector and will come through the floor carpet at the front/center of the seat, and run up to the motor. Use a test light to see if there is power. If there is power being delivered to the motor, then the motor is probably bad. To confirm that the motor is bad you can remove it and bench test it by direct wiring it, or try and find a used one. Good luck.
