fifty9singlecab
I have a 1990 Accord and I think the fuel pump needs to be changed. Do I have a hole in my trunk to access the pump or does my tank half to come out.
James Matteu
There is a door in your trunk, but you will sit on the seat (down) and work with the pump in the trunk while sitting inside the passenger compartment.
fifty9singlecab
Ok I did that. It was located on the passenger side right at where you let the rear seat down at. I thought it was the sending unit when I took it out. I don't guess that is my problem then. When I turn my key on I can hear the relay click and then I can hear the pump in the rear moan for a second then the relay will click again then when I start it I half to crank it several times 4 to 5 before it fires and runs. It then idles at 700 rpms. But I have a constant sputter when I give it gas quickly. I'm just going to junk this P.O.S. I'm getting tired of spending money for nothing. James Matteu
Sure you don't have a vaccum leak? How does your EGR look? Have you cleaned it out? How do your fuel filters look? What condition are your fuel lines in? How is the timing? You could have spark, but at the wrong time.
