Accord i-ctdi 2005 or 2006? (five or six-speed)

Hello people,

 

I am new here, planning to buy a used Honda Accord diesel with only 6000 kms next week. In fact, I have a serious question out of what some people told me about the 2004/2005 (5-speed) and 2006 (6-speed)model.

 

Is it true that the 5-speed gearbox matches better with this car? The car salesman from the Honda garage in my neighbourhood told me this. To him it appears that the 5-speed gearbox makes the car faster and gives it a more balanced character. Is this true?

 

I would appreciate to reeive any information from you around this subject, because there is only one week to decide left.
