Bjm5295
Hi All I have a 94 Accord EX Auto that recently, the Gear Shift has become really hard to change. It takes my opposite hand on top of my thumb pushing in to get it to change sometimes. Does anyone know why this might be happening? My thought is that I probably need to flush the Transmission fluid and start new, but I though I would ask anyway. Thanks A Lot
Kastigir
First check to make sure nothing has fallen down into your shifter area. If that's clean then it's most likely something with your linkage screwed up.
Turtlehead
This is a rather common problem. Try disconnecting the shift cable at the transmission (under car should need 14mm? 12mm and 10mm wrenches/sockets). With the cable off, pull the boot back and coat it with ATF fluid, work the shifter back and forth, re-coat, slide boot back on and install in reverse. That could VERY well solve your problem. Post back with your findings.
