masonracing4912
i have a 92 integra and i had a question about the power steering. im in the process of making it into a ministock racecar. well when i was stripping the car my buddy cut off the power steering cooler with a saws all for some reason i havent figured out yet. but anyway i know there is a low pressure and a high pressure hose. i do have a parts car . can i just cut the lines below the reservior and attach the new cooler with just hose clamps or am i going to need high pressure fittings?? i guess what im asking is how much pressure does the pump put out? thanx for ur help! Pballer2005
just take the power steering assembly out. have the hoses coming off the rack go up to a reservoir that can hold the fluid and will keep the steering effort a little lower.
Turtlehead
High pressure side runs on the order of 1,700 psi. Better have a good high pressure line. Low pressure not as important just as long as it does not leak.
