sevnthperiod
okay so i recently replaced my stereo head in my car no problems. looked online and all i can find anywhere on speakers is that the door size is a 6 1/2. its not, they dont fit. and i cant find an adapter mount anywhere for them. i got the metra mounts to convert to a 6 1/2 for a 98-04 accord however they dont fit. maybe its just the EX i dont know but its got the holes for mounting the bracket to it placed funny. any ideas anyone? airjordan223
Post up a pic of the speaker hole and maybe we could help you out a little better. Did you measure the stock speakers and see how big they are?
sevnthperiod
yeah i measured the stocks and theyre like just a little smaller than 6 1/4. heres some pics of it . this one is including the bracketPic 1 This one is just the hole but take note of the positioning of the screw holesPic
airjordan223
Have you tried mounting just the speakers into the hole (without brackets) or do they not even fit inside that?
sevnthperiod
id have to put in my own holes for that and i would loose the depth i need. thinkin about gettin some convertors so my 6 1/2 fit in my 6 x9 in the back so i didnt waste money on them. and just gettin a diff size for the door. i think some 5 1/4 will fit in there with alot less trouble
airjordan223
Just drill your own holes and use some washers so you can still have the depth
