ShrewdSimian
I'm trying to find the location of the starter in a friend's stalled 1995 Honda Accord LX. However, I cannot find anything that looks like I'd expect from pictures of a Honda starter. I had a mechanic describe to me over the phone what to look for but it just doesn't seem to make sense. Can anyone supply me with a picture of what we should expect to see, and importantly, where I should be looking? Here is a picture of what I was told should be the starter: I've done my own auto-repairs before, but not on a Honda. Finding the starter should not be this difficult. :( Any help would be greatly appreciated. Trying to help my broke friend save on a tow and mechanic. Velocifero
That's the vacuum canister I believe. The starter should be under the intake arm a little and attached to the flywheel via the transmission. Standing in front of your car it'll be on the left side.
