BradleyBurrell
Hey guys, Its me again. So everthing has went fine so far on my $750 civic I bought but a new just uneasy problem has came up. I replaced my distributer cap along with the rotor as they desperately needed it. But it sounds like it keeps hitting the back wall of the cap when the rotor is spinning. Of course this is causing it to run rough. It starts and drives and all that stuff but I don't want to ruin a brand new cap and rotor. What would cause it to be doing this and does it sound like I need a new dizzy completely?
Raley
Did you put the rotor all the way down?
BradleyBurrell
Did you put the rotor all the way down? I pushed it all the way in and tightened the set screw.... if thats what you mean by putting it all the way down.

If I am going to replace the distributer on this one do I have to have it retimed or is it already set up because of how the distributor sits in there?
