Mark Roth
This regards my 1986 Honda Accord, though I imagine it applies to more vehicles. I need to remove the ignition control module (aka, igniter, icm) but to do that I need to remove the ignition reluctor from the distributor rotor shaft. How's that done? Is that little round thing (roll pin?) my key, so to speak? Image here: reluctor photo Thanks, Mark
Raley
i personally don't know older accords so help is hard, but your photo is broken so im confused on what you are trying to do... the rotor needs to be removed (with a screw) to get to everything on a 92-95... but yours might be different... Mark Roth
Thanks, Raley. I don't know why the link won't work right. I find, though, that if I enter the link manually -- http://www.eaf.net/graphics/reluctor-key.png -- it works just fine. On an '86, the rotor just pulls off. However, under the rotor is the reluctor. It's the removal of the reluctor that's got me stumped. I hope that clarifies matters, Mark
