C.olive Posted March 13, 2013 Share Posted March 13, 2013 Okay so im fixing this car for a friend its a 94 accord 2.2 4cyl. It had a blown head gasket so i fixed it all fine and dandy but then the car dies after a day. What happened was i left the cam gear bolt loose and it ruined the key then slipped over it and spun the gear freely on the shaft. Any ideas on how to fix this with little money (im broke as a joke and need this thing fixed now) i was thinking about getting a bigger key or making my own then filing the camshaft gear keyway and camshaft keyway to size?? James Matteu Posted March 13, 2013 Share Posted March 13, 2013 Weld it on. Besides, you have idea whether or not you slammed the pistons onto the valves: the head may need a rebuild.
