I'm having trouble finding the same answers when it comes to compatibility. It looks like an f23a1 only fits 98-02s. My 97 is a Special Edition. I need to know if this will fit, and if so will it cause any issues and are there parts I need to swap from my stock motor into this one to give me a good running car? Are there limitations it will put on my car? Here's the info I found about what's in it already: 2.2L L4 SOHC 16V It's also a V4 If this won't work, what will? Is it worth going for a JDM instead?
